This study is available for sale as part of the Artist Support Pledge – helping artists across the world to work and sell work during the COVID-19 pandemic – artists offer work for sale for £200 or less and on achieving £1000 worth of sales, the artist promises to buy £200 worth of work from another participating artist.
This bird was one of several males observed and sketched at the famous lekking site at Langdon, Co. Durham. Some of my fieldwork can be seen here, produced over a series of cold Spring mornings a few yers ago from the safety of a well concealed hide from a safe distance near the lekking arena.
